The Airpura 900 Industrial Fume Extractor is a powerful source capture system designed for serious VOC and chemical abatement. Standing just 27 inches tall, it contains 20 lbs of Airpura's patented SuperGas activated carbon – offering serious fume extraction in a compact footprint compared to larger industrial units.

Important Safety Note
Please beware: Airpura 900 Series is NOT intended to be used in a flammable atmosphere.
Always turn the unit OFF when plugging into a power source. Failure to do so may result in the motor potentially stalling and/or burning.

Source Capture Options
The unit comes standard without an attachable flexible source capture arm. Choose from the following three options before adding to cart:

  • No Source Capture Arm
  • 3 ft long x 5" diameter flexible source capture arm with 6" hood
  • 5 ft long x 5" diameter flexible source capture arm with 6" hood

Application Overview
Modern industries and daily activities generate pollutants such as smoke, fumes, dust, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), many of petrochemical origin. Left unchecked, these contaminants compromise air quality, health, comfort, and productivity. The Airpura 900 removes harmful smoke, fumes, and odors directly from the breathing zone, creating safer, cleaner spaces for employees and customers.

Ideal Environments Include:

  • Welding, machining, and 3D printing workshops
  • Laser engraving and manufacturing facilities
  • Hair and nail salons
  • Bars, restaurants, cigar lounges, and cannabis consumption lounges
  • Wherever air quality matters for health, safety, or customer experience

Chemicals Handled
The Airpura 900 is made for serious VOC cleanup. Common chemicals addressed include:

  • Ammonias
  • Nitrous dioxide, Nitrous trioxide, Monoethylamine, Toluene, Naphthalene
  • Chlorine, Chlorine dioxide, Sulfur dioxide, Methylene chloride
  • Hydrogen fluoride, Hydrogen chloride, Hydrogen sulfide, Hydrogen bromide
  • Mercury vapors, Benzene, Radioactive iodine
  • Mold mycotoxins, Pesticides

What Makes the Airpura 900 Distinctive
Unlike larger industrial units standing 42" tall with 40 lbs of carbon, the Airpura 900 delivers serious fume extraction in a compact 27" chassis with 20 lbs of patented SuperGas carbon. It is purpose-built for source capture with optional flexible arms, making it ideal for workstations where space is limited but fume and VOC removal cannot be compromised. The MERV-13 particle filter captures fine smoke and dust before they reach the carbon, extending carbon life in heavy-use environments.

What is the difference between the 900 and the 900 MAX?

The 900 is a single-stage industrial fume extractor with 20 lbs of SuperGas activated carbon and one MERV-13 particle filter. The 900 MAX doubles the filtration capacity with 40 lbs of activated carbon and dual MERV-13 filters in a taller 42-inch housing, compared to 27 inches on the standard 900. The 900 MAX delivers up to 850 CFM and is suited for higher-load or larger-area industrial applications.

How is the 900 series different from the 600 and 700 series?

The 600 and 700 series are ambient room purifiers — they recirculate and clean air throughout a space. The 900 and 900 MAX are source-capture fume extractors — they pull contaminants directly from the point of generation before they disperse into the breathing zone. This makes the 900 series the appropriate choice for welding stations, fabrication areas, print shops, laboratories, and other applications where fumes or VOCs are produced at a defined source location.

What contaminants does the 900 series handle?

The 900 series is designed for heavy industrial and commercial fume loads including welding fumes, soldering smoke, VOCs from coatings and adhesives, chemical off-gassing, 3D printing emissions, and tobacco or cannabis smoke in designated smoking areas. The SuperGas impregnated activated carbon addresses a broad range of chemical compounds. Contact us to confirm suitability for your specific application.

Can a capture arm or hose be connected to the unit?

Yes. Both the 900 and 900 MAX accept a capture arm or flexible hose on the top inlet using a 5-inch diameter connection. Source-capture accessories are available separately. Positioning the inlet as close as possible to the fume source maximizes capture efficiency.

How often do filters need to be replaced?

Replacement intervals depend entirely on contaminant load and run hours. In heavy industrial environments, the MERV-13 particle filter can saturate within weeks. The carbon filter should be replaced when chemical breakthrough or off-gassing odors are noticeable. The pre-filter should be replaced when visible airflow restriction occurs. Unlike the 600 and 700 series, fixed annual intervals do not apply — monitor performance and replace based on conditions.

Is the 900 series suitable for continuous 24/7 operation?

Yes. Both units are built for continuous heavy-duty operation with powder-coated steel housing, variable speed control, and casters for positioning flexibility. They run on standard 115V power.

Is the 900 series the right choice for a large open facility?

Not on its own. The 900 series is a point-source extractor, not a whole-room air purifier. For large open facilities without a defined fume source, the 700 series provides better coverage through ambient recirculation. For facilities with both general air quality needs and localized fume sources, deploying both series in combination is the most effective approach. Contact us to discuss your facility layout.

How do I request a quote or get sizing advice for the 900 series?

Call us at 1-877-804-9940 or email sales@facilitysupplypro.com. We serve facility managers and procurement teams across Canada and can help assess whether the 900, the 900 MAX, or a combination deployment is appropriate for your application.

Warranty

Airpura air purifiers are covered by a manufacturer's limited warranty administered through authorized dealers. Coverage terms differ by use type:

Commercial Use (offices, schools, healthcare, institutional, and all facility applications): 2 years parts and 5 years labor from date of purchase. Airpura will repair or replace defective units or components at no charge for parts and labor within the first 2 years. From years 2 through 5, labor is covered but replacement parts and shipping are charged to the purchaser.

Residential Use: 5 years parts and 10 years labor from date of purchase, under the same repair-or-replace terms.

Filters, UV germicidal lamps, and electrical plugs are excluded from warranty coverage under both programs. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Damage from misuse, unauthorized modification, or service performed by non-Airpura personnel is not covered.

To open a warranty claim, contact FacilitySupplyPro directly at 1-877-804-9940 or info@facilitysupplypro.com. As your authorized dealer, we manage the warranty process on your behalf. Do not ship a unit to Airpura without first obtaining a Return Authorization number — unauthorized shipments will be refused.
